Margins to bottom out in Q2FY26, loan book to grow at 1.2-1.4x of nominal GDP growth


'Federal Bank conducted a conference call on 02 August 2025 to discuss its financial results for the quarter ended June 2025. KVS Manian, MD&CEO of the bank addressed the call:

Highlights:

In February 2025, the bank introduced new strategy Federal 4.0 - a transformation blueprint to reshape the way bank operate, compete and grow.

The focus is on execution and getting three things right. Improving CASA especially the current account to address cost of funds, driving better yield advances largely by reshaping the asset mix and increasing granularity and volume of fee income.

The execution is in sync with all three objectives with good progress on all three fronts in spite of systemic headwinds on a few aspects.

The bank is refocusing energies on the most vital parts - branches, people and profitability model.

The free the branch initiative is fully underway.

The bank has already created 70 regional business support centers which...
