Operating profit margin
has jumped from 20.49% to 21.88%, leading to 13.25% rise in operating profit to
Rs 7,412.00 crore. Purchase of finished goods cost rose from 1.97%
to 2.48%. Employee cost decreased from 57.28% to 55.59%.
Other expenses fell from 20.27% to 20.10%. Contract job
process charges rose from 14.01% to 14.07%.
Other income fell 7.23%
to Rs 385 crore. PBIDT rose 12.03% to Rs 7797
crore. Provision for interest fell 4.65% to Rs 205
crore.
