Sustained Retail Momentum Anchors Mutual Fund Industry Growth

Retail-led SIP inflows, expanding individual assets, and steady participation across geographies continue to propel the mutual fund industry's structural growth.


'Canara Robeco Asset Management Company delivered a presentation that covers the growing asset under management facility in mutual fund industry.

The industrial monthly SIP inflows rose to Rs 310 billion and SIP AUM is spiking even faster to Rs 16,634 billion. This indicates a growing retail participation via SIPs which becomes a stable base of long term assets. Individual MAAUM rises to Rs 49,279 billion while the B‑30 share of total MAAUM stays broadly flat (19% → 18%). Total industry QAAUM and closing AUM increasing (QAAUM to Rs 81,009 billion from Rs 68,617 billion; closing AUM to Rs 80,234 billion from Rs 66,930 billion).

Higher SIP inflows and higher individual MAAUM feed into overall industry AUM growth, alongside market performance, showing that the industry expansion is being powered significantly by systematic retail investments.
