Net down 24% hit by 590 bps contraction in OPM

Standalone net sales (including other operating income) of Rajoo Engineers has increased 34.74% to Rs 32.93 crore.  Operating profit margin has slumped from 11.99% to 6.10%, leading to 31.40% decline in operating profit to Rs 2.01 crore.  Raw material cost as a % of total sales (net of stock adjustments) increased from 57.08% to 63.14%.   Employee cost increased from 10.60% to 12.29%.   Other expenses rose from 17.45% to 17.46%.   

Other income up 206.67% to Rs 0.46 crore.  Provision for interest fell 65.52% to Rs 0.1 crore.  

Provision for depreciation down 3.41% to Rs 0.85 crore.  

Profit before tax down 20.42% to Rs 1.52 crore.  Provision for tax was expense of Rs 0.46 crore, compared to Rs 0.52 crore.  Effective tax rate was 30.26% compared to 27.23%.

Profit after tax fell 23.74% to Rs 1.06 crore.
