India business is expected to pickup, while Europe to remain weak in the next few quarters

CIE Automotive India hosted a conference call on Oct 25, 2024. In the conference call, company was represented by Mr. Ander Arenaza Alvarez- CEO, Mr. K. Jayaprakash- CFO and Mr. Vikas Sinha- Sr. VP strategy.

Key takeaways of the call

In India, the company reported growth in line with the weighted average market growth. Tractors sales during Q3 CY24 increased by 3.2%, two wheelers sales increased 12.5%, MHCV sales decreased 10.8% and <6T vehicles (include Passenger Vehicles, Utility Vehicles, Vans and Light Commercial Vehicles) decreased 0.2% compared to Q3 CY23.

India Business margin improved despite weak market driven by strong internal improvement plan. EBITDA includes 0.5% points of non-recurrent EBITDA.

Going forward, the company expects all business in India to perform well supported by ramp up of orders.
