Consolidated net sales (including
other operating income) of Great Eastern Shipping Company for the quarter ended
Jun 2022 has increased 78% to Rs 1366 crore. Operating profit margin has
jumped from 35.7% to 51.1%, leading to 154% rise in operating profit to Rs 698.18
crore. Employee cost decreased by 980 bps to 13.9%, fuel/oil/water
cost down 260 bps to 12.5%, port charges down 180 bps to 4.2%, spares down 260
bps to 4.3% and OE was up 130 bps to 14%.
Other income up 58%
to Rs 31.40 crore. Provision for interest fell 5.29% to
Rs 93.26 crore. Provision for depreciation fell 0.11%
to Rs 179.24 crore.
Profit before tax (before sale of
ship) was Rs 457.08 crore against a profit of modest Rs 16.32 crore. Profit
from sales ship was down 98% to Rs 0.24 crore. Thus PBT after P/L from sales of
ship was up 1496% to Rs 457.32 crore.
