Steel Authority of India

Sales up 8%, OP down 13%


'SAIL net sales (including other operating income) of Steel Authority of India has increased 8.22% to Rs 26704.17 crore.  Sales of Bhilai Steel Plant segment has gone down 9.94% to Rs 7,723.20 crore (accounting for 26.78% of total sales).  Sales of Durgapur Steel Plant segment has gone down 6.52% to Rs 2,769.99 crore (accounting for 9.61% of total sales).  Sales of Rourkela Steel Plant segment rose 12.88% to Rs 6,252.34 crore (accounting for 21.68% of total sales).  Sales of Bokara Steel Plant segment has gone up 14.38% to Rs 6,146.96 crore (accounting for 21.32% of total sales).  Sales of IISCO Steel Plant segment has gone down 1.87% to Rs 3,218.12 crore (accounting for 11.16% of total sales).  Sales of Alloy Steel Plant segment has gone up 10.79% to Rs 346.41 crore (accounting for 1.20% of total sales).  Sales of Salem Steel Plant segment has gone up 8.70% to Rs 523....
